Cora Sue Collins

Sunday, February 19th, 2012

I can’t say that I honestly knew who Cora Sue Collins was, but before even meeting her, I was very impressed with her acting résumé. I hadn’t yet seen a single film in which she had appeared, but as Oscar nominees or obvious classics, I knew that one day I’d get around to checking them out and then I’d regret not having obtained a signature of this former child actress. I was more interested in a couple of things that she had done earlier in her career. Read the rest of this entry »

For Major Star Wars Buffs Only… Beru

Monday, January 30th, 2012

Bonnie Piesse is currently a singer, songwriter, and actress, but right now her big claim to fame was that she is now forever sealed in the Star Wars canon. Her role wasn’t huge in the two films in which she appeared – Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith – but the character was rather significant. In fact, the character is on of the first ones we meet in the very first Star Wars film, that of Beru Lars, the aunt who along with Uncle Owen raises Luke Skywalker. Read the rest of this entry »
