anderson“Just think of the fun I’ll have with good old George over the coming years.” This is one of my favorite lines from the 1979 TV movie Murder By Natural Causes. This line – nor this film – doesn’t mean much to the average Joe, but it was always one of my favorites when I was a kid and I was thrilled to be meeting my second actor within one week from this very film. The script penned by Columbo writers Richard Levinson and William Link had earlier received kudos from actor Barry Bostwick when I met him at the Hollywood Collectors Show on October 4, 2008 (as seen here). A Couple of Lost Boys

corey1I have absolutely zero interest in most of the tripe that Corey Haim has done since the 1980’s – not the reality shows, nor any modern anything involving The Two Coreys, nor the succession of direct-to-video film, nor his drug problems. But what does interest me is his appearance in the 1987 cult classic The Lost Boys and his starring role the next year in License to Drive, which I find remarkably funny and entertaining. Who can forget the lore surrounding ‘the two Coreys’ back in the 1980’s, which sadly lingered on twenty years later? Read the rest of this entry »

The Many Faces of Terry Moore

terrymoore3Those who know me well will have no problem in guessing what it is about Terry Moore that has me the most captivated. True, she has a very interesting personal tale of how she had been secretly married to philanthropist, aviator, and all around intriguing guy Howard Hughes. Although documents detailing the supposed 1949 marriage never materialized, the Hughes estate awarded her a settlement. But this isn’t the reason that I’m interested in Terry Moore. janGeri Reischl’s designation as “Fake Jan” came when she was cast to portray Jan Brady is the 1976-77 revival of The Brady Bunch series known as The Brady Bunch Variety Hour, a musical-variety show that has been voted one of the worst programs in the history of television. Truth be told, although the original actress Eve Plumb was loved far and wide in the role of Jan Brady, Geri probably had the most musical talent of any of the kids in the show.
