"Hey Beaver, let's try smokin' it." - Larry Mondello, "Leave It to Beaver"

lora2.jpgThere were lots of milestones in Grandma Range’s life during 1990. The first of these was, of course, her first great-grandchild being born on March 21. The second major one was her first grandchild Lora getting married to Todd Abbott. Lora is also the first of my cousins to take the plunge. The ceremony was held at the Bear Creek Church of the Brethren on Saturday, June 23, which if I recall correctly, was the day I ended my last week at Camp Woodland Altars. Denise was the guest book attendant and handled the job capably.

I do remember that when Lora walked down the aisle and we all stood, I remember thinking how pretty she looked. Although my parents were already divorced at the time, my Mom attended the wedding with us. The reception, as I recall, was held in the church basement.

Lora and Todd are still happily married and living in Toledo – now with two sons as part of their family. Since Lora is a nurse, she often works around the holidays so we don’t get to see them that often, but once in a while they make their way home for an event and we get to catch up.
