Ok, that wasn’t nice. But really that’s what their roles were in the Oscar winning film One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. I’m referring to the characters Candy and Rose, the two party girls who sneak into the mental institution in the film. This film being an Oscar winner and all, naturally I’d have an interest in anyone who appeared in it. The actresses behind the bodies were Marya Small (now going by the name Mews Small) as Candy, and Louisa Moritz as Rose. I got the chance to meet both of them at the Hollywood Show on October 8, 2011.

Marya Small might also be known for a variety of other roles in such films as Sleeper and Zapped! and in such TV shows as Barney Miller, Maude, and the Dukes of Hazzard. Louisa Moritz had a meaty role in The Last American Virgin and also appeared in the films Under the Rainbow, True Confessions, and The North Avenue Irregulars. TV credits include M*A*S*H, Happy Days, and The Rockford Files.

I ended up purchasing a shot of both of them from One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and managed to wrangle a photo with both of them together. They were both nice ladies and I suppose the type of gals I’d like to have visit me if I ever ended up in a mental institution.
