I slept in as long as I could. Of course, it wasn’t long each morning before I was greeted with little Adam’s smiling face. On this day, I decided to get out a little bit, so I joined both My Gang and the Eds on a journey to the local outlet mall. I immediately decided that I could not handle the clothes shopping of my female counterparts, so I ventured out on my own and spent the morning hours mostly in the bookstore. I ended up purchasing a great Ronald Reagan tome, which was actually a souvenir of the Ronald Reagan Library that I visited in 2005.

We all convened in the food court where we either enjoyed the Famous Wok or the Great Steak and Potato Company (which Bev erroneously rechristened the “Great Steak Escape”). I opted for the oriental delights of the Wok. Andrew, Abby, and Adam were all treated to a ride on the outdoor department store merry-go-round outside the food court. Somehow, with these cute kids, even this became an ‘event.’

That evening we opted to stay in for dinner where Mom prepared a delicious taco meal and some homemade chocolate brownie cake. We ate until our hearts exploded. The evening hours consisted of more game playing and naturally the television triple header: “Family Ties,” “Diff’rent Strokes,” and “I Dream of Jeannie.” Good times.

As we rolled into Wednesday, a very special day in itself, we posed for our obigatory family photos in front of the Links pond located just outside our condo’s back door.
