  • 001. Pilot – 9/23/2010
    • Call center manager Todd Dempsey (Ben Rappaport) reports to his office at Mid American Novelties in Kansas City only to find it abandoned by everyone but his boss Jerry Stern (Matt Walsh), who tells him that the center has been outsourced to Mombai, India and if he wants to keep his job, he needs to report there. With no other options, he heads to India and meets up with his assistant manager Rajiv Gidwani (Rizwan Manji), who is hoping to become the manager of the call center. Todd meets his call center associates including Manmeet (Sacha Dhawan), with whom Todd quickly becomes friends, the attractive Asha (Rebecca Hazlewood), the talkative and annoying Gupta (Parvesh Cheena), and the nearly silent Madhuri (Anisha Nagarajan). In the central lunchroom he also meets two other call center managers Charlie Davies (Diedrich Bader), who works for All American Hunter frequently gives Todd advice about living in India, and the attractive Australian Koala Airlines manager Tonya (Pippa Black), who immediately takes an interest in Todd. Todd quickly gets lessons in adapting to the food, the sacred cow, learns about the ‘A’ teams who know everything about America. He also tries to teach his team about hot to sell the various novelties without letting customers know they are talking to India. and also gets everyone to sell at least one add-on, culminating with Madhuri upselling some fake vomit. Thushari Jayasekera is Pinky and Guru Singh is Ajeet, other employees at Mid-American. Shawn Parikh is an ‘A’ Team Indian. Srinivasa Kapavarapu is CC worker #18, later known as Prakash.   • 002. The Measure of a Manmeet – 9/30/2010
    • Jerry tells Todd that he needs to complete employee evaluations, and Rajiv thinks it will be a good opportunity to put fear into everyone. Todd starts with Madhuri and learns that he has been pronouncing her name incorrectly, and also experiences the Indian head shake explained by Asha to be an ambiguous sideways head bobble that means neither yes nor no. Manmeet, who has the highest satisfaction ratings, tries to satisfy Todd’s craving for meat but he can only find a lentil burger.  Gupta is told to learn when to end a conversation and gets jealous that Todd is going to take Manmeet out for a steak. Jerry tells Todd that with sagging sales, he needs to get rid of someone. Todd decides that instead of firing anyone, he wants to work with the person with the lowest sales to bring them up. Todd realizes that it is Manmeet who has the lowest sales because he is spending so much time flirting with women customers. Meanwhile Gupta is convinced that it is him who will be let go. Todd forces Manmeet to break it off with all of the women he has been talking to, but he ends up making sales to them, pushing them over the threshold of having to fire anyone. Thinking he was fired, Gupta comes in and rages at each person until he finds out that he wasn’t fired. Todd hints to Rajiv that he will be getting a raise, but when Rajiv asks him to confirm, he gives him the Indian head shake. Surina Jindal is Gupreet.   • 003. Party of Five – 10/7/2010
    • Todd tries to assist Charlie in getting a date with Tonya, but she ends up inviting Todd to go along as well. Thinking he will need a date, he invites Asha under the guise of it being a group outing, and she in turn invites Gupta. The night is rather awkward with only the men at the nightclub dancing together, and a game of ‘never have I ever.’ During a discussion about Asha’s arranged marriage, Tonya rubs Todd’s leg under the table, but he thinks it is Asha so he rubs her leg, causing her to storm out. The next day he apologizes to Asha and she forgives him but points out how much Tonya likes him. Tonya makes it clear that she’s interested in Todd and that she’ll be waiting if thing don’t work out with Asha. Meanwhile Madhuri steals Rajiv’s key to the call center and sneaks in to spend the night there because her house is full of relatives, only to find that Rajiv also is staying there because his father’s air conditioning is broken. He is infuriated but allows her to stay as well so that Todd doesn’t find out that he is there. The next day Rajiv shows his soft spot by slipping Madhuri the key so that she can stay there again. A hungover Charlie finds himself naked in hotel room after their night of partying and has to walk the streets of India covering himself with a coconut. 3/3/17
  • 004. Jolly Vindaloo Day – 10/14/2010
    • With the assistance of Asha, Rajiv tells Todd that it is the Indian holiday ‘Vindaloo Day’ and thus they should only be working a half day. When Todd finds out that Rajiv is lying he storms back into the office and embarrasses Rajiv in front of a man he believes to be a headhunter. It is actually Mr. Mehta (Ajay Mehta), the father of Rajiv’s true love Vimi (Saraya Blue), who will only accept Rajiv if he is a manager. Todd feels bad and convinces Rajiv to pay a visit to the Mehta house and plead his case. Rajiv turns him down anyway, but Vimi pledges to wait for him until he becomes a manager. Meanwhile members of the A-Team led by Ravi (Manish Dayal) and Ankita (Angela Malhotra), begin to bully Manmeet, Gupta, and Madhuri, by trying to steal their seats in the cafeteria and phoning in fake orders. They end up turning to Charlie for ideas to get even and are able to get the A-Team folks to sit at a table that collapses. Sunit Gupta is Rajiv’s father Harshit Gidwani. 3/3/17
  • 005. Touched by an Anglo – 10/21/2010
    • When Mid-American introduces a line of adult toys to their line, Jerry suggests that Todd show the group a sexual embarrassment video, which in itself the group finds offensive. Todd soon starts getting reports of numerous complaints against him, which delights Rajiv as he thinks it will get Todd fired. Todd becomes fixated on trying to figure out what he is doing to merit them. Asha eventually notices that Todd often puts his hand on other people’s shoulder when talking to them, and this has what caused Madhuri to report him. Todd later has to save Madhuri from choking, prompting Rajiv to take a photo of it and send it to Jerry. Meanwhile everyone is offended by the smell from a lizardfish vendor outside the office. It turns out to be Gupta’s cousin Rohit, whom Manmeet finally gets to move by ‘pimping’ his cart with novelties. Todd keeps getting stuck with coconut water from a vendor (Duncan Bravo). Gupta sees a fortune teller to glimpse of the events of the next episode. Semere-Ab Etmet Yohannes is Sadhu. 8/22/17
  • 006. Bolloween – 10/28/2010
    • Although no one at the office gets the concept of Halloween when Todd begins showcasing the practical joke novelties, he decides to also host a Halloween party at his home. Gupta insists that his apartment is used as a backup. When Jerry tells Todd that the company is cutting costs and that he must find a cheaper place to live, Rajiv hooks him up with Auntie Ji (Sarah Ripard) for a room to rent complete with a servant named Santosh (Sathya Jesudasson). Todd hosts the party in the common room of the boarding house and Tonya attends in sexy attire accompanied by two of her friends. The one dressed as a naughty nurse (Amelia Jackson-Gray) flirts mercilessly with Manmeet, but he only knows how to flirt back via cell phone. Asha shows up as Cleopatra and dances with Todd, but when Tonya gives Todd a kiss, Asha runs out of the party. Todd later finds out that it is because Auntie Ji has lectured her on dancing with another man while she is preparing for her arranged marriage. Todd later confronts Asha and they share a kiss, but she runs out again. Charlie looks for ways to scare people with a chainsaw. Natalie Hoflin is the sexy witch. 8/24/17
  • 007. Truly, Madly, Pradeeply – 11/4/2010
    • Even though Asha and Todd have shared a kiss, Asha still continues to pursue finding her husband for an arranged marriage via paper profiles. Trying to prove that he is more suitable for her, Todd adopts the persona of someone named Pradeep and inserts his profile among the others. When Asha sees it, she tosses it in the trash, telling Todd that this person only has given his successes, but she can’t tell what kind of person he is. Later Asha gives the extra ticket intended for her future husband to the Bollywood concert to Madhuri, so Todd assumes she hasn’t found anyone suitable. Madhuri wants to see a Bollywood ending, so she gives her much-desired ticket to Todd, who fantasizes that this will win over and seduce Asha. However, when he shows up, she tells him that she has found a future husband named Sunil, but he couldn’t make it to the show. Both Todd and Madhuri are disappointed. Meanwhile Rajiv tires to halt Gupta’s addiction to paan. Charlie also tries to get him to stop but becomes addicted himself. Eventually Rajiv also joins them in indulging, but when Gupta declares Rajiv and Charlie his best friends, they are both ready to give it up immediately. Jeremiah Caleb is the paan dealer. Mayank Bhatter is the usher. Rajia Baroudi is the announcer. Vivek Shah and Roshani Shookla are the couple in love. 2/25/18
  • 008. Home for the Diwalidays – 11/11/2010
    • With the upcoming Diwali holiday coming up, the call center is ready for a five-day holiday, but Todd maintains he can’t possibly let them all off. When he calls Jerry during his couples counseling with his wife Nancy (Sally Ann Brooks) to find out if he can let them off, he is denied. Feeling bad about the celebrations going on all up and down the street, he finally decides to let everyone off and manage the call center by himself. Tonya then convinces him to go join the celebration himself and he ends up getting drunk and sleeping with her, getting caught by Asha when she decides to cancel her initial meeting with Sunil and come back and help Todd. Rajiv captures the entire encounter on film and tries to use it to blackmail Todd, but Todd reminds him that not only did he not break any rules since Tonya does not work for him, but he also has captured Rajiv on tape blackmailing him. Meanwhile Rajiv looks for a sari to give his wife for Diwali and haggles with a vendor (Anjali Bhimani) to get it at the best price, then insults the sari that Madhuri has saved up for and purchased. However, as Rajiv attempts to take it home, it catches on fire from a firework and is destroyed. He then has to haggle with Madhuri to purchase hers for seven times the amount that she paid for it. Tony keeps sleeping with Todd, continually working toward making him forget Asha. 2/25/18
  • 009. Temporary Monsanity – 11/18/2010
    • It’s Thanksgiving and Todd is pushing for Black Friday sales, although he has no realistic intentions of trying to reach the sales goal that will win him a trip to Hawaii. However, when his parents (Jeff Perry, Nancy Lenehan) Skype with him and he finds out that his brother Brad (Stephen Rannazzisi) has won them tickets to Colorado from a sales contest, he tells them that he has won them the tickets to Hawaii. Consequently, he pushes the team to work all night to reach the sales goal, which is interrupted intermittently by a raging monsoon that keeps cutting out the power. Meanwhile after Charlie is defeated by Gupta and Manmeet in a game of Carrom, Charlie insists that they play Laser Tag. He quickly eliminates Manmeet and then stalks Gupta when he tries to bring back snacks from the Canteen. The game is temporarily sidetracked when they smell cookies and sit down, American and Indian, and eat together… until Charlie shoots him with his laser gun anyway. Todd and the team almost reach the goal, causing the workers to offer to buy up items so they will reach their goal. Todd is touched but decides to call it a night… sneaking out with the workers despite Rajiv’s insistence that they finish their shifts. 11/8/18
  • 010. Homesick to My Stomach – 12/2/2010
    • Todd feels homesick for Kansas City, but an attempt to flying ribs from his hometown leads to disappointment when they arrive infested by flying roaches. Joining a tailgate party for the Chiefs via Skype also is disappointing when they forget about him. Even an offer from Tonya to buy him a ticket home for the holidays doesn’t cheer him up. Charlie convinces him to take the afternoon off and join him at a bar to watch the Chiefs play via satellite, but when he eats some of Asha’s gol gappa street food served by a filthy vendor (Duncan Bravo), he become violently ill. As much as he tries to ignore it, he winds up spending the game in the restroom longing for home. Meanwhile while Todd is away, Rajiv exercises his power as acting Manager to institute new rules for the lackadaisical dress code and policy of personal items decorating the workers’ desks, to crack down and make everyone behave more professionally. However, when he is presented a choice on plans to renew the phone service, he struggles for an entire day, even consulting a psychic (Alice Amter) to help make the decision. Todd’s friends all throw him a tailgate party and have the football game downloaded to his laptop. When he returns to work, he has already made a decision about the phone plans, but is so impressed with Rajiv’s thorough research that he gives him the task of ordering a new copier… sending Rajiv right back to the psychic. Roger Nayaran is the man trying to get into the bathroom. 11/8/18
  • 011. A Sitar Is Born – 1/20/2011
    • Although it is Gupta who dreams of being a Bollywood singing sensation, when Todd overhears Madhuri singing in the restroom, he thinks she might be good enough to make it big, so he makes the grand gesture to fund anyone who wants to enter a Bollywood singing competition. She doesn’t speak up, but Gupta takes him up on the offer. Although he has absolutely no talent, Todd keeps to his offer, and Gupta immediately begins practicing Eternal Flame, enlisting Todd to play guitar, Madhuri to play keyboards, and Asha to design his costume. On the night of the performance, Gupta freezes up, so Madhuri takes over and is a sensation. However, she still has no interest in pursuing a career in music since working at the call center is actually her dream job. Todd comforts Gupta by implying that he must’ve faked his stage fright in order to give Gupta her chance in the spotlight. Meanwhile Todd refuses to bribe a phone repairman (Keith Lal) to re-wire the disaster of phone wires, and Charlie urges him to stick to his guns and offers to fix them himself. However, when he cannot figure it out, he is not only forces to bribe the repairman, but to also bribe Rajiv to keep quiet about it. Shay Ali is one of the stage performers. 9/3/19
  • 012. Sari Charlie – 1/27/2011
    • As Tonya is getting tired of keeping her relationship with Todd quiet, Charlie starts to realize that she is seeing someone and vows to find out who it is. He begins tailing her and spying, and soon he tells Todd that he knows who she is seeing. As Todd begins to explain, Charlie pulls out photos of her taking to another man named Sanjay. Todd then tracks her down on her date with Sanjay (Frank Maharajh) and confronts her and told by Tonya that since he cannot get serious enough to expose their relationship, she is going to date other men as well. Todd reconsiders and asks them to be exclusive, all within the listening ears of Charlie who finally knows the truth and ends his friendship with Todd. Meanwhile Jerry tells Rajiv that he has to have his employees evaluate him, and he fears that they will say the worst, so begins to bribe them with snacks and butters them all up, even buying Gupta a new chair. However, their reviews of him prove to be so good, that Jerry actually rebukes him for not being strict enough… prompting to pull the chair out from under Gupta. Todd and Charlie eventually reconcile once Charlie admits that he would do the same thing if he were in Charlie’s place. Aalok Mehta is the operator. Laksh Singh is the horny man in the restaurant. 9/6/19
  • 013. Training Day – 2/3/2011
    • After the team works hard to accepts recalls on a ghost costume that resembles a Ku Klux Klan outfit, Todd decides to take the team on a retreat under the guise of doing team building exercises. It takes several attempts to get on a train, as Todd keeps getting pushed off. When he finally gets in, it is because he knocks over a pregnant woman. When the train breaks down en route, Todd has them do some of the exercises so they will have more time when they finally get there. They wind up trying to free themselves from a human knot, and wind up arguing amongst each other, until everyone finally ends up ganging up on Asha for dumping her work on all of them as she prepares for her wedding. Asha goes into the ladies’ compartment, and before he gets thrown out, Asha admits that she is sorry and will try to do better. Rajiv tells Todd that it will be easiest to diffuse the others’ anger by getting them mad at him, so they all have a common enemy. Todd says they are going to play another trust game, so they all give him their wallets and exit the train. Todd and Rajiv stay on board and challenge them to get home with no money acting as a team. The end up heading home on top of a train, becoming a human knot to stay balanced. Todd has all of the wallets stolen by two gruff men (Kanaiya Sugandh, Deep Rai) who identify themselves as gropers. With Todd gone, Charlie and Tonya bond over trying to to find Charlie a date, but he is turned down by Veena (Anitha Ghandi), who would prefer to go out with Tonya. To see lesbian flirting elevates his confidence level, but he is then turned down by three additional women (Harpreet Shinger, Anisha Adusumilli, Roopashree Jeevaji). Anoush Nevart and Shaifali Ratti are ticket takers. 3/16/20
  • 014. The Todd Couple – 2/10/2011
    • When Gupta keeps losing his temper on the customers, Todd forces everyone through some anger management yoga videos and coaching them on how to handle criticism. However, it isn’t long before Gupta is screaming at a customer again. This time Todd responds by suspending Gupta for a week without pay. Soon Gupta is hanging out in the lunchroom and sleeping on the street. Todd takes mercy and has him spend the night at his house. Meanwhile Manmeet wants to spend Valentine’s Day with both of his American girlfriends, Debbie (Carla Gallo) from San Francisco and Ashlynn (Melissa Stephens) from Chicago, both via video chat. However, he forgets about the time difference between the two girls and schedules them both at the same time. He manages to watch Pillow Talk with both of them for a while, but then he accidentally unplugs his headphones and the become aware of each other. Debbie dumps him, but he becomes exclusive with Ashlynn because she likes fighting for her men. Tonya claims she doesn’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day but then sneaks into Todd’s bed that night. Unfortunately, it is Gupta who is sleeping in it. Rajiv and Todd later listen to Gupta’s calls to see what set him off, and it turns out that the calls before he lost his temper always came from his mother (Roma Chugani), who was embarrassed to have him at home when visitors came over. Todd shares his experiences with his parents and talks Gupta into moving out. Unfortunately, he takes the apartment over Todd’s, which puts him in prime position to constantly annoy him, starting with having a loud party and knocking a hole through Todd’s ceiling as he tries to have alone time with Tonya. Jackie O’Brien is the white yoga lady. Ali Supriwala is the delivery man.  Steve Seagren is the caller’s voice. 3/16/20
  • 015. Guess Who’s Coming to Delhi – 2/17/2011
    • Jerry makes a surprise visit which puts everyone on edge as he prepares to see the call center. However, when he shows up, he seems to want to do nothing but party. He takes half of the group out to a bar, while leaving the other half, including Gupta, back at the office to work. Meanwhile Charlie faces a sensitivity meeting with HR lady Vera (Sharon Mathu) back in the states – who happens to be Indian – for violating and destroying a statue of the Indian god Ganesh. With everyone else out partying, Charlie works with Gupta to learn about Indian culture before his call. Jerry keeps everyone out late at the bar as becomes increasingly drunk, flirtatious with Madhuri, and obnoxious. This causes Todd to miss a dinner with Tonya to meet her mother Lydia (Claire Jacobs). Although he wants to suck up to Jerry and take Todd’s job, Rajiv becomes increasingly nervous how he will explain his late night to his fiancée Vimi.  Jerry finally passes out, and Todd and Rajiv wheel him toward home on a dolly. However, he wakes up en route and decides to tip a cow, getting himself and them arrested. While in jail, Jerry admits that he came because his wife left him. Rajiv reads him the riot act about how he should be treating his wife. Jerry takes the advice to heart and calls home. Tonya bails everyone out of jail, but Todd as succeeded in alienating her mother without ever meeting her. The next day Jerry finally pays a quick formal visit to the call center before heading back to his wife. He gives Todd a title upgrade to Executive Manager, so that he can promote Rajiv to the position of manager, and thus enable him to finally be able to marry. Charlie because very verse on Indian culture for his call with Vera in HR, so good in fact that she tells him that they were going to bring him back to the states and give him another job, but since he is now so valuable in India, he will remain there. It does ignite a friendship between Gupta and Charlie, who reciprocates with teaching Gupta about American culture. Fahim Fazli is the long-haired inmate. Neil Patil is the worker Charlie offends by destroying the statue. 6/27/20
  • 016. Take This Punjab and Shove It – 2/24/2011
    • When employee Shirin doesn’t show up for two days, all of the associates begin looting her office supplies. They convince Todd that if someone doesn’t show up for two days, they have moved on to a different job. Todd holds interviews to replace the position, including Madhuri’s grandmother (Viji Nathan) who falls asleep constantly, the attractive Harpreet (Sameera Rock) whom Manmeet has convinced that his name is Spencer and that he is the British head of the company, and Gupta, who pretends to be his own identical cousin Alok. It seems that Gupta is in desperate need of 20,000 rupees. In fact, in a moment of weakness, he steals Manmeet’s wallet, but later returns it with nothing missing. Todd comes upon applicant Kamik (Andy Gala), who was raised in Texas and has no accent. He is hired immediately and begins excelling in his sales and add-ons. Rajiv is concerned that Kamik is so good he will take his job, so he begins trying to find his flaw by calling and asking for donations. Soon the employees are looting his desk, but it turns out that he was stolen by Tonya and Koala airlines. Todd vows to get him back, so he and Charlie break into Koala and get a peek at his file, finding out that Tonya had doubled his salary. In order to get revenge, he passes Kamik’s resume on to the business executives in the lunchroom and consequently neither of them get him. Manmeet, Asha, and Maduri figure out that Gupta had stolen the wallet so he could borrow Manmeet’s license to become a rickshaw driver. When they confront him, he tells them that his living expenses are so much more than he expected. Todd agrees to let him fill the vacancy, working both as himself and as Alok. Arshad Aslam is Ram. Sunil Narkar is the lunch server. Sashan Naicker, Kamal Khan, Susie Abraham, Neela Soni are job seekers. 6/28/20
  • 017. Todd’s Holi War – 3/17/2011
    • During the Holi holiday, during which colored paints and powders are thrown about and on people, the call center is experiencing both a heat wave with no air conditioning and computer problems. Todd calls Globalcon to send down a tech named Kamran (Ravi Patel) who fixes the issue but is rude and condescending. Todd goes up to their floor and complains to the supervisor Sanjeev Patel (Samrat Chakrabarti), who is likewise condescending, and to ask if they can turn up their air so that they can share some of it. Sanjeev refuses and tells Todd that their jobs are much more important that those at Mid-American Novelties. Todd collaborates with Charlie, and they send Manmeet up into the vents to re-direct all of their air to their offices. Globalcon then offers to increase their internet speeds if they can share the air again, but instead Kamran causes a virus that freezes up their computers. Meanwhile Rajiv is planning to propose to Vimi (now played by Noureen DeWulf), but when both Todd and Asha can easily guess how he plans to surprise her, he changes course and tells her that he doesn’t want to see her for Holi and would rather work, hoping to pull off a bigger surprise. It backfires, and Vimi tells him she doesn’t want to see him anymore. Todd tries to re-negotiate with Sanjeev, but when they too get their air working, he has nothing to bargain with. Instead, he sends in Madhuri to spy on them, and she finds out that they are expecting some very important clients that night. Todd and the Mid American workers attack them with colored paints and powders and destroy their office and clothes. Sanjeev attempts to hide in his office, but Manmeet sprays him from the air ducts. Rajiv attempts to surprise Vimi with a romantic proposal with a singer, and sitar player, and a horse, but only the sitar player shows up (Aalok Mehta). Furthermore, he gets nailed with paint by some kids, so when Vimi finds him, he is in his underwear and is covered in colored powder. She thinks this would make a great proposal story for their kids, so he serenades her with the song Love Will Keep Us Together, and she accepts. Manmeet falls asleep in the ducts and dreams he is seduced by a beautiful woman (Veerta Motiani), but it turns out that there is a rat on his face. Amrapali Ambegaokar is Shilpa.   • 018. Gupta’s Hits and Manmeet’s Missus – 3/24/2011
    • Manmeet’s New York girlfriend Ashlynn sends him a sexy video of her life in her apartment, so he wants to respond by sending her a video in return but wants to pass Todd’s apartment off as his. While he spends his time filming the video, and having the females in the office all pretend they are pining for him, Gupta finds a novelty giant ear ‘hearing aid’ which enables him to eavesdrop on conversations. Suddenly Gupta claims that Rajiv hit him, but Rajiv flat out denies it. Todd contacts a Human Resources lady (Audrey Wasilewski), who tells him him that he needs to get to the bottom of it to see who gets fired. Todd interviews Gupta, who comes up with some wild tales, one of which includes a giant version of Rajiv (Dalip Singh) inflicting pain on him. Rajiv’s story involves him being extra-gentle, and Gupta actually striking himself and maintains his innocence. When Todd sees a video of Manmeet naked in his bed with a dog, he warns Manmeet that he is coming off as shallow and superficial. Charlie finds that while filming Manmeet’s video, he actually got footage of the encounter that showed Rajiv slapping Gupta in the face. Todd confronts Rajiv, but he confesses that he did in fact hit Gupta because he is under so much stress from his father-in-law, and that he accepts whatever punishment is coming his way. Gupta overhears this conversation as well, and starts to feel bad, ultimately waking Todd up in the middle of the night to tell him that he had eavesdropped on a conversation between Rajiv and his father-in-law in which Rajiv humiliated himself, and then poked fun at him in the breakroom. Gupta pleads with Todd not to fire Rajiv, so Todd reports to H.R. that no one was to blame, even though he risks disciplinary action for covering for an employee. Todd lets Gupta pick Rajiv’s punishment, which is to play board games with Gupta all through then night. Manmeet finishes his video during which he tells the truth about his life and shows her his breakdancing skills. Sachin Bhatt is Manmeet’s Cousin Manish. 10/14/20 
  • 019. Charlie Curries a Favor from Todd – 4/7/2011
    • Rajiv is planning his two-week honeymoon, which Todd refers to as a ‘bone-a-thon’, then has to retract and give it a wholesome meaning. Asha suggests that that he come up with something really romantic, but with a lack of funds, he turns to Karmic Cash, a charity organization that helps small business owners as it has with a food vendor named Rakesh (P.D. Mani). He makes up a profile as a tiffin delivery boy, and photographs Gupta and passes him off as himself. Meanwhile, after having a pepper-eating contest with Gupta, Charlie tells Todd that they are closing All-American Hunter and he is out of a job. After blowing a job interview with Silky and Sultry by pointing out that the hiring manager (Kelly Schumann) is of a certain ‘size’, he convinces Todd to let him come work for Mid American Novelties, but Todd quickly regrets it when Charlie starts bossing everyone around like he is in charge. Todd tries to give him the opportunity to present his managerial ideas, but when he starts blowing an airhorn in the office every time he makes a sale, Todd is forced to fire him… on his birthday. When the Karmic Cash representative Marcy Donovan (Leslie Grossman) asks to meet Rajiv in person, Rajiv has to get Gupta to pose as him again, but it becomes obvious he is a fraud when he can’t ride the bicycle to deliver the tiffins. Rajiv finally comes forward and admits he is asking for money for his honeymoon, and it appears she is softening until Rajiv refers to the honeymoon as a ‘bone-a-thon’. After Charlie is turned down again for job by the sari vendor, Todd gets the idea for Todd to leave his mark for setting a new record at pepper eating. After eating so many peppers that he begins to hallucinate that setting the record will bring him wealth and twins as wives, he does in fact the record. Another guy (Kevin Gerdes) immediately tries to beat the record, but Charlie tricks him into touching his eye with the pepper juice on it and abandon the record setting. 1/31/21
  • 020. Mama Sutra – 4/14/2011
    • While Gupta and Manmeet are out looking for Gupta’s missing watch, they discover that Madhuri is filling in for her auntie and telling fortunes in the street. After she helps him locate his missing watch – in his pocket – Gupta wants more palm reading the next day. Madhuri tells him that his lifeline is short, which causes Gupta think that he’s dying soon and should be as gluttonous as possible. Todd is nervous because Tonya’s mother Lydia is coming for another visit, and he wants to make a better impression on her. They come to see Todd at the call center, where he tries to hide away all of the explicit and disgusting novelties. Tonya finds out that Madhuri tells fortunes, so she has her read her palm. Madhuri says that a woman and an affair will come between her and her current love. Tonya starts to question whether Todd still has feelings for Asha, and when she catches Asha helping him try on a kurta for Rajiv’s wedding, she starts questioning Todd’s loyalty, but he is able to convince her that he has no secrets. Meanwhile Charlie charms Lydia, and the two begin an instant and passionate affair. When Todd finds out, he does whatever he can to keep this from Tonya, and it becomes very uncomfortable for him when they all meet for dinner, and he finds Charlie and Lydia in the men’s room before they all sit down. Lydia reveals their affair at dinner, but when Tonya finds out that Todd knew, she begins questioning his honesty. She asks him point blank if he still has feelings for Asha, and he pauses before he answers… causing Tonya to break up with him. Madhuri tires to get Manmeet to help Gupta be healthier, but it only leads to Gupta trying to go on a karmic cleanse by confessing all of the horrible things he’s done to his friends. He also starts giving away all of his possessions, but Madhuri finally admits she made up short lifeline in order to get Gupta to start being healthier. Everyone returns the possessions he gave them, although Rajiv thinks he has his life savings… until he opens it and finds a photo of Gupta coming his armpit hair with Rajiv’s mustache comb. After Lydia leaves town, Gupta poses as a palm reader and tells Charlie that his next girlfriend will be Madhuri. 1/31/21
  • 021. Rajiv Ties the Baraat: Part 1 – 5/5/2011
    • Rajiv hands out his three-day wedding invitations but skips Gupta. Todd tries to make him feel better by telling him that he is needed at the call center but thought of Gupta in power help him reconsider and he brings Gupta as his ‘plus one’. Gupta arranges for Todd, Manmeet, Asha, and Madhuri to dance the bhangra dance for the first Sangeet night of entertainment. Todd is asked to be Sanjiv’s best man, and although Todd isn’t invited the wedding, he assists Todd with the bachelor party. Gupta does stand-up comedy at the Sangeet, which Vimi’s family finds amusing, so Sanjiv, despite his anger, has to pretend to like it when they all laugh, and Vimi even starts quoting him. Todd and Charlie are unable to find a stripper, so he calls Pinky and ask her to bring the adult novelties for the party. Ajeet reads a romantic poem during the sangeet, which causes Madhuri to become attracted to him. Manmeet is excited to have Ashlynn come to the wedding, so he has his chest hair shaved like a heart. Although she is much taller than him, they immediately have sex upon arrival. The guys force Rajiv to attend his bachelor party, even though it means tying him up. Todd live streams a stripper (Tammy Felice) from New York, but Charlie finds an actual stripper named Kami Sutra (Aneesh Sheth), who happens to be transgender. Ajeet releases a dove on the beach for Madhuri and wins her heart. Vimi and her father come into Sanjiv’s room to tell him that her father has gotten them an apartment as a wedding gift and find him with the stripper on top of him.   • 022. Rajiv Ties the Baraat: Part 2 – 5/12/2011
    • When Vimi and her father walk in on Rajiv in the middle of his bachelor party, they are furious, especially when Charlie mistakes Vimi for a stripper. He tries to explain that it is an American tradition, but she is humiliated. While Manmeet brags of his conquest with his Ashlynn, Rajiv berates Todd for ruining his life. Charlie wakes up hungover next to Kami Sutra, and he and a hungover Gupta walk the beach and encounter the white horse that Rajiv will ride into the ceremony upon. When they sing Al Green to it, it takes off running and they are unable to locate it. When Todd hears Mr. Mehta telling the hotel manager (David Paul Francis) to cancel the wedding, Todd convinces him that it was all his fault. Ashlynn tells Madhuri and Asha that she come to explore India, and that Manmeet was just one stop on her trip. Rajiv talks to Vimi and finds out that she forgives him for his indiscretion and admits that she’s had some of her own before they were together. Rajiv cannot get past this, and on the wedding day, he tells Todd to tell all of the guests to go home. Manmeet tells Madhuri and Asha that he is going to give Ashlynn his grandmother’s necklace, and Madhuri tries to talk him out of it. Manmeet thinks Madhuri is in love with him, but she assures him that she has a boyfriend… Ajeet. When Manmeet tries to give it to Ashlynn, she refuses it and leaves the wedding. Todd talks to Rajiv and convinces him that he has achieves so much on his own in order to win over Vimi and her father, and in the process of doing this, he became a great catch, so he has no reason to feel inferior to Vimi. Charlie and Gupta steal an elephant from another wedding for Rajiv to ride on for the ceremony. Asha is once again disappointed by her fiance Sunil, who has to call off from going to the wedding. After the ceremony, Todd and Asha hold hands as they watch the fireworks. Gupta films various people at the wedding, so we see Todd and Asha dancing together, Madhuri and Ajeet dancing together, and a depressed Manmeet telling his tale of loss… just before he meets another attractive woman, the same one he dreamed of when he fell asleep in the ducts.
