tom3In my book, once you’ve appeared in an episode of The Twilight Zone, you can stop there; you’re already on my radar to throw money too. One of the most memorable episodes of the series which I can remember vividly although I haven’t seen it in probably twenty years or more is The Midnight Sun, the sweltering drama that chronicles the plight of two women in their apartment as the earth slowly drifts closer to the sun. It’s a pretty claustrophobic tale with a very limited cast. Previously I had met the actor who portrayed Mr. Shuster (Jason Wingreen). Now I’ve met the “Intruder” himself: Tom Reese.

He appeared without much fanfare at the Hollywood Show on October 31, 2015. Although I said that he could ‘stop there’ after appearing in The Twilight Zone, he didn’t. He’s got a pretty respectable resume of television appearances in shows like Route 66, The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis, Bonanza, Gunsmoke, Chico and the Man, CPO Sharkey, and Moonlighting to just scratch at the surface of his roles. He even appeared as Thomas in the film The Greatest Story Ever Told.

It’s always great getting a cast member of Twilight Zone, and even better when they are friendly like Tom Reese. For just $20 he included the autograph, the photo op, and a freebie for Carolyn. Picture if you will… if every celeb could be so darn nice.
