Another Halloween Victim

June 27th, 2013

tg1Okay, I promise you that the postings related to the Halloween franchise will come to an end at some point, but for now I still have a few celebrity encounters related to the series that I must share. This one is a little bit more on the obsucre side and is one that I had to be in the right frame of mind to pick up. It comes from Halloween 5, the 1989 entry in the series that featured Danielle Harris as little Jamie Lloyd – whom I’ve already covered here. Typically I don’t get autographs from all the victims of mad killers such as Jason Voorhees or Michael Myers, but I made an exception with Tamara Glynn, who played Samantha Thomas in the film. Bond Girls – Part 2

June 26th, 2013

bondo5It was fortuitous that I started collecting autographs of the Bond Girls when I did, because on January 12, 2013, one of the so-called ‘reunions’ of the Bond Girls was taking place at the Hollywood Show in Los Angeles. If you’re interested in Bond Girls, you can click here to check out the start of my series of Bond Girl encounters from various celebrity shows, but if not, you can just check out three of the five that I met at this particular one… Read the rest of this entry »

Trier and Bernkastel-Kues

June 24th, 2013

ag43Saturday, October 6, 2012, was our last day to spend in Germany. We had spent the bulk of the trip on the road, but the night before we had arrived back in Trippstadt the night before and had stayed at Bryan and Erine’s house again. It was fitting that our last day was a bit more leisurely paced as we were all pretty exhausted from the fast-paced traveling that had taken us to a good portion of Germany’s corners. The rest of our tour would continue not too terribly far from our home base. We began at a respectable hour and stopped for a quick breakfast at the Barbarossa Cafe in Kaiserslautern. I had a cheese and ham pastry, PLUS I finally found the puddingbrezel that I had been looking for all trip-long. It had been the first food I had eaten in Germany when I arrived at the airport in 2008. Read the rest of this entry »

Me After Katt

June 22nd, 2013

katt1My friends Jimmy and Peter are both big fans of the TV series The Greatest American Hero. While the show has always intrigued me, so far I haven’t had the time or inclination to start watching the series. But since I am interested in super-heroes, I did have William Katt, who played the title role in the series (aka Ralph Hanley), on my radar as someone of whom I’d like to meet. What’s more, my friend Peter had gotten a nice photo of himself taken with Katt and his Greatest American Hero co-star Robert Culp. He had gotten Culp to sign the photo, but was still waiting for Katt. Read the rest of this entry »
