Reconstruction

September 25th, 2006

img309.jpgMake no mistake, my life is not quite worthy of a biography… but I have always wanted to create a synopsis of important and interesting events from my life in some unknown format just for the sake of having some documentation available for later on down the road when I’m too old to remember anything. This is also a worthwhile endeavor simply for the sheer joy of recalling good times of the past.

There are two things I especially wanted to chronicle. I thought about actually doing two booklets and printing them up a while back, but that seemed much too difficult and would have invariably fallen by the wayside and never been completed. This book is comprised almost solely of letters that Bush has written throughout his life, intermingled with diary entries he made during some of our nation’s most historic times. By the nature of how this book was comprised, I was confident that these writings reflected the true nature of President Bush. Read the rest of this entry »

Enchanted Memories

September 18th, 2006

finalsmall.jpgIn Dayton, the closest major family entertainment empire is the nearby Kings Island amusement park, nestled in the outskirts of Cincinnati, Ohio. Naturally, as I have grown older, the theme park has become less and less enjoyable. I am now much more susceptible to the heat, the headaches and nausea from the fast rides, and the stench of smoke, sweat, and body odor in the long, claustrophobic lines.

I hope this description does not make you think that the park is not fun though. When I was a kid, going to Kings Island was like visiting Walt Disney World’s younger brother (in an equation where Disney World = Heaven). And during those younger years – from about 1975-1980 – the pinaccle of this paradise was The Enchanted Voyage. Read the rest of this entry »
