Louise and Carroll’s House 1978

It was almost like the stereotypical story of the boy who left home to go stay with a rich uncle and had the time of his life and was constantly entertained. The end. That’s a bit what it felt like for the two trips that I recall taking to visit my Aunt Louise and Uncle Carroll. The trip in 1978 was actually the second time I paid a visit to them – the first being in McLean, Virginia in 1973 – but this was the first one that I remember. Read the rest of this entry »
William Sadler was charging an additional $10 to get a picture with him after buying an autograph for $20 – and I didn’t care for that proposition. In fact he was on my ‘solid maybe’ list to even pick up his signature at all while he was making an appearance at the Chiller Theatre Show in Parsippany, New Jersey on Saturday, October 30. Perhaps he thought he could merit this exorbitant amount of money because he was one of those Star Trek people, having portrayed Luther Sloan in Star Trek Deep Space Nine. He had a few other notable roles as well, in such fine films as The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, and Hard To Kill. 
The first six months of 2006 can be told in what amounts to a two-part story. I first began this website on September 13 of that year, after I had begun what I perceived as a ‘new life’. By the time I had reached that point, I had very little resemblance to the person I had been for the last few years – neither physically, mentally, or spiritually. The catharsis had come about as a result of six months of various injections of misery that seemed to bombard me from every facet of my life. Although the memories would have been much fresher when I began this site, at the time I had no intention of ever really chronicling my life so in-depth – so I began my 2006 odyssey with the summer vacations of that year. Incidenatally, most of the photos I am sharing here have little to do with the major events of this time period, but were mostly all taken by Ashleigh during this time period with her new camera that she had gotten from her Big Daddy for Christmas upon her return from vacation. 
Her big break came with a recurring role on Beverly Hills, 90210. Now she is starring in a supporting role on Life Unexpected. But I really care about actress Emma Caulfield is that she played the incredibly charming and hilarious Anya in 85 episodes of Buffy Vampire Slayer. She was a love-spited vengeance demon, who was eventually tamed by falling in love with lead actor Xander. Anya was always good for a laugh as she bumbled her way through life trying to get used to the modern day world. One of my favorite moments on the show was in the musical episode where she and Xander sing the duet I’ll Never Tell.
