Dorothy deBorba and Edith Fellows – 2000

As I recall, I did not do a whole lot of autograph collecting from the celebrities in attendance at the Sea-Tac 2000 Sons of the Desert convention. I had never met Patsy Britten before so I had her sign a photo. And I had a new shot of Peggy Cartwright for her to sign – but the other three I had met on occasions in the past and pretty much had all of the autographs I needed from them – especially since they were now selling their photos at 10 bucks a pop. Following our jaunt through Charleston on March 22, 2007, Mom, Denise, Ashleigh, Adam, and I boarded a boat that took us on a 45-minute journey terminating on the island where Fort Sumter is located. This, of course, is the site of the first battle of the Civil War which began on April 12, 1861. Here the Confederacy forced out the Union army stationed in the fort. It was a lovely day to browse the remains of this historic location.
