Little Grandmothers

I am very fortunate that I had a long and meaningful relationship with both of my Grandmothers. Both were sweet, simple, and unfailingly giving. My Grandma Range (seen with my Dad and me at right) is my Dad’s Mom. My Mom’s Mother was known as Grandma Murphy. Read the rest of this entry »
As a young chap of three or four, I often carried with me a large black suitcase to many of my destinations. To my Grandma and Grandpa’s house, for instance. I went over there to be babysat a lot and trailing behind me was always the black suitcase. Also my bedroom, our family room, living room, and kitchen on Echo Hill would all be graced with the presence of the black suitcase. 
On February 2, 1990, Christi’s brother Keith and I travelled from their home in Beavercreek to Fairborn to meet two guys from the heavy metal band Whitesnake. These members were Adrian Vandenberg and Rudy Sarzo and they were making an appearance at the music store Absolute Music (not a record store, but a store that sells musical instruments) in support of their 1989 album Slip of the Tongue.
