A Rainy Day in Northern Jersey ’09

I’m one of those freaky people who is a sucker for a rainy day. I actually enjoy them. I love the coziness of being in the house or car with the pitter patter of the raindrops hitting the roof. So I quite enjoyed Thursday, June 17, 2009, as Bob and I made our way into the northern portion of New Jersey via motorcar in the driving rain. Bob and I had visited
Bob and I thought we had blown it after visiting the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday, June 16, 2009. We had been in Philly for about three hours and had seen a boatload of
Bob and I had made our way from Atlantic City to Philadelphia, which was about 90 minutes away. We arrived at about 11:40am on the morning of Tuesday, June 16, 2009. We parked the car at the Independence Visitors Center parking garage and set out on a very long and tiring day’s adventures on foot. In fact, we saw so much in Philadelphia, which in essence was where the United States was born, that I am breaking this location into two separate postings.
