The Dudes from Whitesnake

On February 2, 1990, Christi’s brother Keith and I travelled from their home in Beavercreek to Fairborn to meet two guys from the heavy metal band Whitesnake. These members were Adrian Vandenberg and Rudy Sarzo and they were making an appearance at the music store Absolute Music (not a record store, but a store that sells musical instruments) in support of their 1989 album Slip of the Tongue. When you last heard about the Georgia trip from this Summer, Bob, Ashleigh, and I were staying at the Plains Historic Inn. On Sunday morning, July 9, we got up early and headed just up the road about a mile to the Maranatha Baptist Church.
Again, this posting refers to the trip I took just last weekend with my Dad and Bill. We awoke in Americus, Georgia bright and early Sunday morning and headed out toward Plains (about 10 miles west) to the Maranatha Baptist Church. We arrived at around 7:30am, although I was hoping to get there about 15 minutes earlier.
