You may be surprised to learn that someone of my supposed intelligence has on at least two time periods of my life, been sucked into the rough and tumble soap opera that is big time championship wrestling. My first go-around with the sport was back in the early 1980’s (from about 1982-84) when Georgia Championship Wrestling reigned supreme of the Superstation TBS. Saturday, July 25, 2009, came up pretty quickly. After all I had only been home for a total of five days from California when it was already time to leave again for my last week-long vacation of 2009. The week in between was maddening as I struggled to both catch up and get ahead at work and home. But Friday the 24th rolled around and it was crunch time – time to pack and head out to Mom’s for the night. 5am, Saturday morning arrived and I was up and loading up the car along with Mom, Bob, Ashleigh, and Briana. 
We were starting to close in on nightfall on the evening of Sunday, June 14, 2009, as Bob and I crossed over the Delaware border during our week long road trip. This was my first time in our nation’s very first state (and second smallest) in the union. There were no Presidents from here, no Hard Rock Cafes, no ballparks, and no old long-lost friends for me to meet up with…but there was a State Capitol and that was where we were headed. However we made a couple of quick stops that night before we arrived at our final destination in Dover.
