A Dash of Pepper

Sunday, September 30th, 2012

I didn’t know all that much about Cynthia Pepper, and I would have possibly bypassed getting her autograph when she appeared at the Hollywood Show in Burbank on February 11, 2012. However my friend Dean was keenly aware of who she was because his favorite TV sitcom is My Three Sons. She had starred in nine of the earlier episodes of the series as next-door neighbor Jean Pearson, the love interest of Mike, the eldest of the Douglas boys (played by Tim Considine). Since Dean wanted an autograph, I got to meet her and get a photo with her. Since she kindly offered a 2 for $30 deal, I picked up one of the signed photos. Read the rest of this entry »

I skipped on two of the lesser ones, Ricco Ross (who played, get this, Ricco Frost) and Cynthia Scott (who had been Corporal Cynthia Dietrich). Sadly I missed Michael Biehn, who had only been present at the show on Saturday. And I had already met Lance Henriksen last year. Read the rest of this entry »

Brian Posehn

Monday, September 24th, 2012

After seeing Rob Schneider’s act and discovering that the Funny Bone comedy club in my own hometown of Beavercreek was hosting some banner names, I started scouring their website to see if there were any other comedians that I wanted to see. Turns out there was one coming up right away, so I booked a solo ticket to see Brian Posehn on Thursday, September 6, 2012. So off I went again for a nice evening to myself, enjoying a pretty decent bleu cheese burger, a Dr. Pepper, and an evening of comedy. Read the rest of this entry »
