Lora and Todd’s Wedding

There were lots of milestones in Grandma Range’s life during 1990. The first of these was, of course, her first great-grandchild being born on March 21. The second major one was her first grandchild Lora getting married to Todd Abbott. Lora is also the first of my cousins to take the plunge. The ceremony was held at the Bear Creek Church of the Brethren on Saturday, June 23, which if I recall correctly, was the day I ended my last week at Camp Woodland Altars. I continued down my It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World autograph collecting path by sending a request to Jonathan Winters on August 14, 1985. I had a sneaking suspicion that I would have success with Mr. Winters, as he had replied to Carl Ahlm with a signed photo and actually agreed to be an honorary member of our Sons of the Desert tent in Springfield. On Thursday, August 3, 2006, Mom, Ashleigh, Briana, and I spent our evening at Barefoot Landing in Myrtle Beach. While trips to Barefoot Landing for me are usually mediocre at best, this one was quite fun – especially due to the fun I had with Ashleigh and Briana. The Landing itself is simply an outdoor shopping mall, with various attractions of distraction strategically planted around the complex.
I have a slew of fond memories of my time in second grade class taught by Mrs. Deets at Fairbrook Elementary, like…
