Saturday Night at Disneyland

Readers of this website might get the impression that I enjoy visiting the Disney parks. And of course, they would be right. So naturally I grabbed yet another opportunity to hang out at both Disneyland and California Adventure following my visit to the Hollywood Show in Burbank on Saturday, February 12, 2011. We had made a relatively brief visit the night before, so this brush with Disneyland represented the first time ever that I visited the park on two consecutive days. Read the rest of this entry »
Had Lesley Ann Warren been given either of two major roles that she tried out for – as Liesl in The Sound of Music or as Lois Lane in the 1978 version of Superman - I would have been all over getting her autograph in the past. As it was, I had bypassed having Bob get any signatures from her when she appeared at the Hollywood Show in February 2010. But when she made an appearance at the Chiller Theatre Show in Parsippany, New Jersey on Saturday, October 30, 2010, I did a little more research on her and found that she had been in something that interested me. 
At least that’s the way I always looked at it. Which makes it a no-brainer to do things like fly directly to Los Angeles from Miami, immediately following the cruise vacation that my Mom, Bob, and I had just taken. After going through customs at the port on Friday, February 11, 2011, I caught the shuttle bus to the Miami airport. I had only been mildly concerned about the early time of my flight, but I arrived with a full half-hour to spare before we even boarded the plane. I picked up the Miami magnet that I had missed when we had last been in Miami and caught my flight at 11:30am. 
Oddly enough, I had bypassed getting an autograph of Cindy Morgan in the past, and had only put her on my ‘maybe’ list when Denise and I met up with at the Chicago Hollywood Celebrities and Memorabilia show on Saturday, September 25, 2010. In the past, I had known only that she was in Caddyshack, but before I went to the show this time, I made sure that I checked out her and her character Lacey Underall in the film. In the end, I walked away with a great picture with the sexy Cindy Morgan, two signed photos, and a real admiration for her. 
After our long and full day at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, Ashleigh and I didn’t have much trouble sleeping in and slowly stirring to action on the morning of Saturday, September 18, 2010. It was about 10:30am by the time we got ready, packed up, and were heading out. As tradition now dictates, we took some photos of the decor at Pop Century in the 1950′s section where we were staying. In fact, I concentrated so hard on doing this that I actually forgot to check out before catching the free shuttle to Downtown Disney.
