"Bean Bag Exchange!" - Brad, second-grade gym class

Archive for the '1990′s – Early' Category

I aimlessly roamed through the Spring of 1992. College student, father, partier, opportunist, music buff, Brady Bunch fan, Robert DeNiro idolizer, Kroger bagger, Laserdisc player owner. That was me. It was back to the drawing board of figuring out life after I had come to the conclusion that the job offer from Keith had been a hoax. Miraculously, I hung on to him as a friend, a deal which was sweetened by the fact that he was constantly buying me CDs, Laserdiscs, and taking me to rock concerts. Read the rest of this entry »

The Lovely Della Lind

Tuesday, February 8th, 2011

Although I had met Della Lind, leading lady from the Laurel and Hardy feature Swiss Miss, six years prior (at the Hollywood ’80 convention, seen here), I had never gotten her to sign a photo for me – just her signature in my little blue autograph book. The most famous scene comes when Garland sings Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas to young Margaret. Read the rest of this entry »

The Beavercreek Beavers – 20 Years Later

Saturday, August 21st, 2010

For those of you who may have been concerned – and I know there are many of you – that I was not going to reach an acceptable quota (whatever that may be) of ‘reunions’ with old friends whom I hadn’t seen in five or more years, you obviously had forgotten that this was the 20th anniversary of my graduation from Beavercreek High School. So on Saturday, July 17, 2010 – less than a week after returning from Florida – I headed out for my third high school class reunion being held at the Holiday Inn in Beavercreek.
