  • 027. Makin’ Some Noise – 10/6/2010
    • Jules not only has empty nest syndrome now that Travis is in college, but she is also scared of intruders. In showing how she can defend herself with a wooden spoon, she leaves a welt on Andy’s head. Fearing that Jules will now pour all of her attention into him – by making him wear glasses and tight pants for example – he tells her that some of his DVD’s have been stolen, so she forms a Neighborhood Watch to keep her busy. The group ends up getting bored with the watch, so they end up drinking wine and spying, first learning that the wine that Tom gave to her came from his own grape stomping. Meanwhile Ellie gets a new nanny named Rosa (Gloria Garayua) who is doing a great job, but keeps trying to become friends with Ellie. Laurie warns her that she needs to play along to keep Rosa doing a fabulous job. Travis is having a hard time fitting into the college crowd when his new roommate Kevin mocks him. He calls Bobby for advice, and Bobby and Andy end up coming to the college to hang out with him, making it even more apparent that Travis isn’t as cool as his father. Jules finally gets the call from Travis, and rushes down to retrieve Bobby… but ends up staying as well. Ellie and Laurie advise Grayson that he needs to be there for Jules, so he comes to the college to get everyone to leave… and also decides to be there for Jules by converting Travis’s old room into a ‘jam room’ so that Ellie can play drums along with Grayson’s singing and guitar. Ellie finally can take no more of Rosa, so she tells her that they can’t be friends. Rosa advises her that Laurie had told her that Ellie wanted to be friends: a practical joke from Laurie in retaliation for Ellie marking her purse as “FAKE”. The group sings Slow Ride together. Travis squeals like a girl every time he throws something. 11/13/17
  • 028. The Damage You’ve Done – 10/13/2010
    • When Jules and Grayson run into ‘visor guy’ Matt (David Clayton Rogers), a guy whom Jules once slept with, Grayson decides it’s time to tell Jules that he once slept with Laurie. They follow her to the license bureau where she’s trying to replicate a 20-year old photo she’s been using on her license. Meanwhile Bobby becomes seeing a sword swallower (Murrugun the Mystic), but every time he swallows it, Bobby seems to be looking away. He then refuses to watch the swallower until Smith admits that he is bothered by Laurie and Grayson. It turns out that he is bothered by not being bothered. Jules shaves a tiny beard off of Travis, who spies Kylie on the back of a guy watching the sword swallower. He becomes even more suspicious when Kylie begins lip-biting while they are kissing. Jules isn’t upset enough about Laurie and Grayson that Ellie tries to goad her into being angry, but she only ends up angry at Ellie for never telling her about them and expels her from the group as punishment.  However when Laurie admits that she knew Jules liked Grayson, Jules kicks her out of the group instead. Grayson and Ellie try to convince Jules that her forgiveness is one of her best qualities but she refuses to budge… until she consoles her when Smith breaks it off with her. Travis tries to break up with Kylie, but she simply tells him no and advises him to ‘eat the sword.’  Karen Y. McClain is the DMV lady. 11/15/17
  • 029. Keeping Me Alive – 10/20/2010
    • During a game of Penny Can, Ellie takes a jab at Bobby for accepting alimony from Jules, so he decides to cut his financial cord from her. However to do so, he drops his health insurance and then promptly injures his shoulder while trying to catch a Frisbee in his mouth at the pool. Jules tries to help him, but he won’t have any of it, so she eventually hires him to work for her. His first promotion idea is to give away free cans of beer with Jules face on it, but this only leads to a wild party in her office. Eventually she agrees to be more open to him helping her instead of always the other way around, but in his first act with particularly fussy client Dwayne (Van Epperson), he blows it by referring to Dwayne’s wife as his mother. Meanwhile Lori and Smith make a clean break encouraged by his father Roger, but continue to occasionally sleep together. Although Grayson and Andy expect her to get emotional, she is rock solid and find the whole thing humorous. However eventually once prompted by them, she breaks down and lets on her appreciation of the cul-de-sac crew. Travis, home from college, and Ellie begin to realize that they are the intellectual superiors in the group, but Ellie fears she has been dumbing herself by hanging out with them. While Bobby is teaching golf to Roger, he lets out a yell becuase of his injured shoulder, and the yell becomes the preferred tee-off method at the course. Alex Ball is a golfer. 7/7/18

Julies hopes that he will dislike Grayson, driving him to spend time with her… but he ends up enjoying Grayson and they form a duet. She feels bad about it, especially when he leaves without attending the big Halloween party at Grayson’s bar. They have a talk and Chick admits that it pains him to talk to Jules because she reminds him so much of her deceased mother. • 031. Fooled Again (I Don’t Like It) – 11/3/2010
    • Jules in turning 42 and holding her annual contest to see who gets her the best gift. Laurie and Grayson fear Ellie, whom they describe as the ‘gift whisperer’, so they team up to sabotage her gift and decide to go in on cooking classes and cookware together, after Laurie dismisses the notion of getting her a charm bracelet. They also plant a piece of Asian art in Jules house so that Ellie will be lead down the wrong track with her gift choice. Meanwhile the gang institutes the ‘fake gun to the head’ whereby everyone must tell the truth when being pointed at with a fake gun. Andy wants to go dirty dancing for Jules’ birthday, and also makes Jules feel guilty when he uses the ‘fake gun’ to find out that they might not be friends if it weren’t for Ellie. They go to lunch together and during the lunch, Andy falls and sprains his ankle after skipping away gleefully from dismissing Barbara. Feeling bad, she agrees to his dirty dancing idea, but Ellie tells her that Andy is a master manipulator in the vein of Keyser Söze. Jules confronts Andy with the ‘fake gun’ but he insists he was not lying to her. However on the way to the birthday dinner, his limp suddenly disappears ala Söze. Travis gets Bobby to try a Neti Pot, which Bobby considers a college item. He winds up taken away in an ambulance when he gets it in his lungs. Travis finds it humorous that Bobby regularly ejects water from his lungs through his nostril and has recurring dreams about drowning, bur eventually works with him until he can use the pot. Ellie loses the contest when she gives Jules a miniature Asian gong. Jules also has contempt for the classes and cookware, but Laurie has fooled everyone and hidden a charm bracelet in the cookware, thus winning the contest. 1/24/19
  • 032. Little Girl Blues – 11/17/2010
    • Travis brings home his 23-year old girlfriend Kirstin (Collette Wolfe) – whom everybody calls Kristin – home to stay at Jules’ house for the weekend. She makes an initial bad impression with Jules, who tries to be nice to her up until she mentions that Travis might go to her family’s house for Thanksgiving. From then on she is so mean to Kirstin, that she has to enlist Laurie to be her ‘Cobb-stopper’. Laurie coaches Kirstin to stick up to Jules, but when she tries, she ends up breaking Jules’ prized wine glass Big Joe. Meanwhile Travis is nervous about his next sexual encounter with Kirstin because he was sick during the first time and doesn’t remember what he did. The guys all try to coach him, but it is only his father who comes clean and tells him that every man lives in perpetual fear of disappointing a woman. Grayson has a different problems: he’s invited the gang into his house – including Tom, who roamed over – and now he can’t get rid of them no matter what he does. Eventually Ellie coaches him that he has to draw a boundary, so he lets a skunk spray the inside of his house. Kirstin, who was about ready to give up when Travis called her Kristin, finally makes up with both Travis and Jules, who tells her that despite her clinginess, she has taught Travis to be the kind of man who will always be good to her. • 033. When the Time Comes – 11/24/2010
    • Jules is thrilled to be hosting Thanksgiving with Grayson, but he warns her that she may be too overzealous with her hugs. She gets to try it out when Travis brings home his quiet college roommate Kevin to spend the holiday with the family. When Jules and Grayson go shopping for Thanksgiving, they run into Grayson’s ex-wife Vivian (Jennifer Cortese). He follows her around, but tells Jules it is so she can see how happy he is. She responds by telling him that she loves him, but he can only muster a thank you. Later at the Thanksgiving dinner, he seems ready to tell her that he loves her, when he is interrupted by having to vomit after eating oyster stuffing, which he is allergic too. He retreats back to his house deathly ill. Meanwhile Andy loses his cell phone, and it flabbergasts Ellie and Laurie when he doesn’t seem concerned, thinking that it will find its way back to him. When it does, they decide to teach him a lesson about being over-optimistic by stealing his wedding ring. He seems just as optimistic about that as well, thinking there is a reason that it is missing. Then the girls actually lose the ring and are forced to come clean about what they did. He joins in looking for the ring outside, and consequently he is there to intercept Jules from going to Grayson’s to ask him if he loves her. He sees this as the reason that the ring was lost. Eventually he comes back to dinner and tells Jules how happy she makes him and that he appreciates her being patient. Laurie vows to beat Katy Perry’s record at the Grammys by wearing more than twelve outfits, but she ends up wearing nine because she runs out of boob tape. Bobby is called out by a coffee shop barista (Rachel Rovner) for mumbling, and when he realizes that his family and friends all think he mumbles, he attempts to change the cadence with which he speaks. Kevin turns out to be a mumbler as well, and tells Bobby that he should be thankful they love him for who he is. They then spend the afternoon playing games trying to guess what Bobby and Kevin are saying. Zach Braff provides his own voice on Laurie’s phone app 1/15/20
  • 034. The Same Old You – 12/8/2010
    • Roger Frank suggests to Bobby that he should enter a PGA golf tournament, but Bobby seems to lack the confidence to do so. Jules believe it is because Bobby is unhappy with his boat home, especially since the mailman won’t deliver to his boat. She gets the idea to have Travis distract him by challenging him to eat a tub of cheesy popcorn, while she and the gang all clean up his boat. She tries to make it fun like an 80’s movie montage while playing “Walking on Sunshine” but end up regretting the paint free-for-all that splatters the boat. Eventually they finish, but when they go to put the boat in the marina, it sinks. As the friends attempt to retrieve Bobby’s belongings, Jules tells him how much he’s grown by not throwing a tantrum, and convincing him that his friends all care about him. He does in fact enter the tournament with Andy as his caddy… and wins. Meanwhile when Ellie insults everyone’s occupations, Jules counters by revealing that Ellie worked as a tequila shot girl. Ellie realizes she knows nothing about Grayson’s past life, so she starts digging for info, starting with his ten-year old self (Bailey Forman) being part of a dance pageant circuit. She and Grayson escalate into a war of digging up old dirt on each other. Meanwhile when Travis and Kirsten attend a Zeta sorority party, they find Laurie there pretending to be one of the Zetas. Jules is devastated by this, and while going on a drive with Grayson, she runs over a squirrel. She takes it to the veterinarian (Sean Smith), who along with Grayson, agrees the squirrel is not worth the effort. She tries to convince Grayson that the trip was worthwhile by substituting a healthy squirrel and freeing it, but Grayson knows it is a fake, compounded by neighbor Tom finding the dead squirrel in his garbage. She then accidentally steps on a lizard. Already upset that Grayson has never said ‘I love you’, she questions how different they are due to his stoic handling of the animal deaths. He makes it up by holding a funeral for the three animals and telling her that he relishes their differences… and this is why he loves her. Meanwhile Kirsten realizes Bobby had no knowledge of current events, so she fills him in… causing him to become preoccupied with all of the sadness in the world and flailing at his golf game. Andy and Ellie spot old friends Doug (Andrew Thacher) and Tina, but Andy tells her their names are Steve and Nancy. They do this is a joke because it is ‘their thing.’ However when Andy does this to Laurie regarding a barista (John Ruby), whom she likes and has gotten to change all of the names of the coffees for her, Ellie is furious. • 036. A Thing About You – 1/19/2001
    • Jules and Grayson are now telling each other ‘I love you’, but when Jules starts asking more questions about the future, Grayson convinces her to stop being ‘future girl’ and live in the present. When Ellie asks Bobby if he is concerned about Grayson become a father figure to Travis, it not only triggers some jealousy from Bobby, but also sparks a debate on whether women are better friends with each other than men. To prove the point, Laurie asks if she can stay with Jules while her house is painted. She quickly drives Jules crazy with her constant wound-up chatter, forcing Jules to ask her to leave. Laurie confesses that her house wasn’t really being painted, but she just missed spending time with Jules, which prompts Jules to tell her how annoying she is. To Jules’ surprise, Laurie gets over hurt feelings immediately and is back to being friends. Jules tells Laurie how much she loves and admires her. Meanwhile, the gals find a new wine bar, but the owner Wayne Gibbons (Michael McDonald) insults Julies. Ellie however finds them to be kindred spirits as they both like to make fun of and judge others. When Wayne continues to insult Jules, Ellie finally lays it on the line and tells him to stop. Kirsten tells Travis that her last boyfriend was rich and had taken her to Paris. Travis looks to the guys for help on what to do, but Bobby gets jealous of Travis asking fatherly advice from Grayson. Bobby asks Grayson to stop, and then gives Travis the idea to cover his boat in lights and then invite Kirsten over and watch the beach, which proves to be successful. Bobby and Grayson watch from afar, and Bobby thanks Grayson for not only stepping aside, but coming up with the idea. During a game of Penny Can, Grayson makes fun of Andy’s belly, which causes him to give Grayson the cold shoulder. Jules has broken the TV so she can’t watch the movie, and Travis comes up with the idea that she could cheer herself up by re-visiting a childhood memory. She decides she wants to play Sardines in a Can, whereby one person hides and each successive person who finds them, hides along with them until there is one left. Ellie is ‘it’ and hides in the back of her truck. In order to get more people, Jules allows Tom to play along as well. Everyone searches through the cul-de-sac houses, and one by one they find her and join her in the truck, starting with Tom. • 038. Cry to Me – 2/2/2011
    • With Valentine’s Day coming up, Jules test her theory of putting love out there and seeing if it finds its way back. It does in fact, as her kind words to Travis end up getting her surprise sticky buns from Tom. Unfortunately it works in reverse as well, and Tom takes back the buns. Grayson get Jules flowers the day before the holiday, and gets some for Kirsten as well, making Travis look bad. Kirsten tells Travis that all she wants is a sexy picture. Travis is reluctant but enlists Laurie to help, but the photographer (Brian Atene) turns out to be creepy. Laurie tries to take pictures of hi but he is too embarrassed, so he finally has his father take them… and his mother walks in during the session. When Grayson mentions that his father died on Valentines Day, Jules makes it clear that all she wants is for him to open up and let out his feelings. Grayson tries to do this, but cannot follow through and walks out. Ellie tells Andy that she doesn’t want to celebrate the holiday, so Andy buys a new suit for Bobby and takes him out on a date. Ellie finally gets jealous and tells him that she still wants him to be there, and although it sounds crazy, she wants him to interpret her actual wishes when she doesn’t even know what they are. Travis’s photo is ridiculous, especially since all Kirsten really wanted was him in a sexy suit, but she is very flattered at all of the trouble she went to for the photo. Andy makes it up to Ellie by setting up lawn chairs in the cul-de-sca and enjoying a burning of the neighbors’ Christmas decorations. Grayson joins Jules out there as well, and brings a copy of Field of Dreams, a film that always makes him cry. Her only wish is for him to act a bit differently around her than anyone else, and he confesses that he actually does, although it is nearly imperceptible. Bobby takes Laurie to dinner and then pretends to dump her at the end of it, so the waiter (Austen Parros) will take pity and give her a free meal. • 039. Walls – 4/18/2011
    • Bobby is trying to locate a time capsule that was buried for Travis when he was a baby in order to retrieve his lucky visor that he hopes will help him make money for a golf tournament. Travis takes a sudden interest in finding it as well, and Jules thinks that he wants to retrieve her grandmother’s engagement ring in order to propose to Kirsten and prevent her from leaving town for a job. Everyone tries to convince her to back off from interfering with Travis and let him make his own decisions. She rises to the challenge by not giving him advice… but finds the capsule first and hides it. Meanwhile Laurie gives Bobby the idea to use the money he has and invest it in creating penny cans to sell. Grayson not only laughs at this idea, but the notion that Jules can stop giving Travis advice, and the fact that Andy thinks that women are hitting on him because he is married. He even goes to far as to ask one woman (Vanita Harbour) if she was hitting on Andy, and in the process they anger her gargantuan boyfriend Randall (Martez Covington), who turns Grayson’s car upside-down while he and Andy are hiding in it. In the process, Andy tells Grayson that he needs to support his friends more, so he hosts a Penny Can night at the bar, providing free drinks, which helps Bobby raise the money he needed. Ellie convinces Jules that she now hates her mother because of all of her interference, so Jules turns over the time capsule to Travis. He leaves with it, barely commenting on what he plans to do with it or the ring. A new rule of Penny Can is established, whereby an in-and-out of the penny results in the thrower getting a magic marker mustache apply. Ellis is afraid of a truck ghost, revealed to be Jules, who keeps sneaking and moving her car. Jules over-uses the phrase “agree to disagree,” while most of the group mis-uses the phrase “kicks ass.” Sam Laybourne is Penny Can thrower Steve. Tava Smiley is the first woman Andy thinks is hitting on him. 11/28/20
  • 040. Baby’s a Rock ‘n’ Roller – 4/20/2011
    • The cul-de-sac crew discuss the nicknames they answer to, and how everyone behaves in the morning. Andy is a morning person, Jules wakes up asking random questions, Laurie wakes up in fighting mode, Travis gets intimate with inanimate objects during the night, and Bobby can’t wake up early. This is to his disadvantage when he can’t get on the golf course for free after 6am. Grayson intends to join him one morning, but Bobby gets up late, arrives late, and then in his sleepiness drives the golf cart into a water trap. Meanwhile Jules makes fun of Ellie for never seeming to be with Stan and leaving him with the nanny Rosa. She denies this and claims she spends nearly nine hours a day with him, but he is exhausting. Jules volunteers to babysit Stan in order to prove that a woman in her forties can handle it. She winds up calling Grayson to help, and the two manage to let Stan lock himself in the pantry. Ellie comes to the aid and shows them how to bribe the baby with Goldfish crackers. This works for everything except getting him to sleep, causing them to be up until 5am. Jules remarks that it was good for her to see how glad she was to not have to take care of babies, which is in contrast to Grayson telling Andy he can’t wait to have a baby. Laurie misses Smith and realizes she needs a one-night stand with a random guy. Andy begs Ellie to let him be Laurie’s wingman and she eventually agrees. They go to Wayne’s wine bar, which oddly doubles as a nightclub in the next room. Laurie finds that she doesn’t enjoy the clubs any longer, which is solidified when a guy she meets named Doub (Ryan Biegel) takes his shirt off on the dance floor. She and Andy go to a coffee shop, where she does meet a guy named Austen (Denny Kirkwood) who she has a one-night stand with, proudly doing a walk of shame the next morning. Bobby devises several things to wake him up early, but it is Travis, who so appreciates his father helping fix his car, who shows up at 5:00 am to help him wake up. However they both fall asleep in the golf cart and drive into a sand trap. Travis is caught on camera by Kevin loving his laundry basket in the night, and sends the video around. Bill Lee Brown is the golf club starter. Giovanni Aurilia is the ‘Russian Guy’ seen briefly on the dance floor. 11/28/20
  • 041. You’re Gonna Get It! – 4/27/2011
    • As Bobby heads off with Andy for a pro golf tournament, Jules contemplates ways to be more charitable. The gang finds Bobby’s lucky visor at Gray’s place, so they use Grayson’s new trivia gang to decide who has to deliver it. Travis has a poor showing and not only has to drive Bobby the visor, but gets ridiculed by Ellie and Grayson. Laurie then challenges them both to trivia, and beats them both individually and when they team up, much to their consternation. When Travis arrives, he finds Bobby stuck inside his golf bag, so he decides to stay and take over supervision from Andy. This works out when Andy gets water in his ear in the pool and winds up roaming around on the golf course trying to get it out. Jules makes a faux pas when she helps dedicate a library at school, and visit the class as her charitable act. While leading them in the Pledge of Allegiance, she substitutes the name Richard Stands for “for which it stands.” She cannot handle embarrassment, even when a stranger appears to be laughing at her on the street. It turns out he is Barbara’s life coach Kenny, the father of one of the kids in the class, who has also told Barbara. Jules prays to God that the spotlight be taken off her and put on someone else. Bobby then hits an opponent’s ball on the green, causing Bobby to have a downward spiral and lose the tournament, and to also be the subject of ridicule all over the news. Jules and Travis both feel the need to apologize to him, Jules for praying for someone else’s failure, and Travis for not looking out for him. When they see that a vendor (Chet Grissom) is selling t-shirts on the street with Bobby’s new nickname “Wrong Ball”, Jules buys them all up and they go and buy them off of anyone wearing them. It turns out that Bobby was the one who made them, and has embraced his somewhat lucrative new pop culture iconic status. Jules follows his advice to embrace your mistakes and laugh along, and returns to face the class again. This time she says the Pledge… and substitutes the word ‘invisible’ for ‘indivisible’. They all realize that the handle humiliation in different ways, and Travis admits he gets even when he is embarrassed… like he did while supplying Laurie with the trivia answers via text messages. Wendy McLendon-Covey is the school’s Vice Principal. Steve Valentine and Ivan Allen are sports announcers. Heather Sims and Frank Martorana are passers-by who recognize Bobby. 3/19/21
  • 042. Lonesome Sundown – 5/4/2011
    • Kirsten is getting ready to move to Chicago, and Travis hasn’t yet built up the courage to ask her to marry him. Jules wants Grayson to show that he cares for Travis and try to talk him out of it. When he tries to talk to him, he finds that Travis is in fact getting ready to propose. He also gets the feeling from Kirsten that she is going to say no, so he tries to prevent Travis from proposing by holding his ring that he had promised to size for him. Travis has Kevin tackle him and take the ring, so Grayson warns him that she will likely say no, but admits that he too would ask anyway so he could live with himself. Meanwhile, Jules and Bobby bet that Jules can’t survive for the weekend if she and Bobby switch homes. Jules tries to get along on $20 for an entire weekend, but blows all of the money on wine and then starts to fall apart. Laurie proposes that the group for a council to dole out punishments to each other whenever someone is out of line. Jules is forced to feed Laurie her wine, Ellie has to sit on the roof, Andy has to sit in a hot car, and Bobby isn’t told his punishment, so the suspense is the punishment in itself. Everyone finally confers and decides Laurie has violated their friendships and safe space by coming up with the council, so she is given a wine shot glass that can’t be refilled until they all need refills. Grayson keeps Jules company on the boat and they wander down to the beach, where they witness Travis propose to Kirsten… and her turning him down. They both comfort Travis, and Grayson even tell him that he loves him… which they both find awkward. Jules passes the time threshold to have won the bet. The group finds out that Grayson used to make his own jewelry and sell it, and later spot him selling some to Lou Diamond Phillips (himself). Joe Toro is the lifeguard who tries to stop Bobby from bathing in the ocean. 3/21/21

Jules’ father Chick comes for a visit and suggests that he and Bobby take Travis to a strip club, but Jules hates the idea. She also hates the fact that Grayson wants to play roller hockey when he can barely roller blade. Despite scoring a goal when the puck ricochets off his head, he is injure when he removes his kneepads to keep the other players from teasing him, and winds up with bloody kneecaps. Meanwhile, Ellie doesn’t want Andy’s brother Nestor (Marcus DeAnda) spending the night at their house, because they won’t even speak since Andy refuses to learn Spanish, and more importantly, Nestor’s wife Angela (Nia Vardalos) always flirts with Andy. She asks Jules to be her punching bag so she can let out her anger, but Jules has found out that the men took Travis to the strip club after all. Ellie tries to use Laurie to insult, but she gets offended and leaves after being insulted. Ellie tracks her down at Gray’s and begs her to come back, but she refuses. At the strip club, all of the strippers have left to pick up their kids, so the bartender Destiny (Christa Flanagan) is forced to get nuded up. Travis finds the whole affair depressing, from sharing lunch with his grandfather at the club to discussing his depression with Destiny. Travis ends up leaving everyone at the club and telling Destiny that his parents will take her home. Bobby takes her home in his golf cart, with Destiny sitting on Chick’s lap, and Jules and Bobby arguing over who’s fault Travis’s condition is. Chick intervenes and tells them that they’re just upset because neither can solve Travis’s problem, the same issue he had when Jules used to cry over her flat chest. They end up sticking together and simply telling Travis that they are there for him if he needs them. On the way home, they run into Grayson, who has crashed again. Jules finally understands that this is something he needs to do, so they pull him home with the golf cart, causing him to crash one final time when he gets home. Travis insists that Bobby not try and date her because she’ll know he was cheating on his assignment. Grayson and Andy steal Tom’s fountain, and they turn it into a wine fountain inside Jules’ house. Jules tries to assert herself as the king by putting a pumpkin head on a body and dressing it like a police officer to scare off the bicycle boys. Jules and Laurie meet up with Bobby at Crabfest in Gulftown to lay out her plan for him: he picks her up, drives her as she drinks champagne, stops by his boat to play Penny Can with Travis and Andy, a movie, drinks with Jules and Grayson, and then sunset at the beach. After they kiss, Bobby should say, “That was fun. Want to do it again?” just like he said to Jules after their first kiss. Jules brings Ellie into the conversation and says that, like Ellie’s position on Andy running for Mayor, sometimes it is okay to put yourself first. When Ellie hears this, suddenly she disagrees and decides to tell Andy that she is okay with him running for Mayor. Travis takes his mother to see Ellie in the park with Jill, looking like a young mother in way over her head trying to keep it all together… just like Jules when she was a young mother. During the panel, Andy tells Bobby that the fact that he’s agonizing over acting like a racist means that he’s a better man than most. Laurie realizes that all it takes to fix minority problems is a pretty white woman. Andy thinks that Ellie really does care about what make him happy, but then she reads off a long list of the demands she has for changes to the city, none of which include the wedding on the beach. Holly comes to see Jules, who tells her that if she is going to be part of the family, then she needs to learn to love wine. 10/21/23

    • Meteorologist Bob Harrigan (himself) announces the arrival of Hurricane Mary for the following day, so Jules prepares a hurricane party. Tom boards up the outside of Jules’ house, but when he asks to come in, she tells him that she can’t hear him… even though he can hear inside just fine. He winds up staying outside for the duration of the storm, commenting on the situations going on inside from time to time. Grayson tries to think of a bar closing phrase other than “You don’t have to go home but you can’t stay here,” after Ellie makes fun of it. When Laurie is depressed because Wade has re-enlisted in the military, Holly suggests to Jules that Travis and Laurie would make a good couple, so Jules immediately starts to worry. As they all discuss it, Jules and Ellie come down against it, Bobby and Andy think it would be a good thing. Grayson refuses to break the tie and wants to remain neutral. In the meantime, Jules wants Bobby to talk Travis out of it, as she feels it will really affect her since Laurie is her best friend. However, when Bobby sees how much he likes her, he tells Travis to be the shoulder for her to cry on. While everyone is playing The Perfect Storm on Bobby’s boat, Travis calls Jules and tells him to thank his father for the advice, causing Jules to become mad at Bobby. Travis tells Jules that he is going to ride out the storm at Laurie’s place, but Jules tells them they should come back to the house. With Jules and Bobby not able to agree on whether to allow the relationship, they agree to play a game to decide who wins. They play Penny Can to determine what game they will play, and they settle on Celebrity. The game becomes even more important when the power goes out and they run out of wine. Laurie and Travis brave the storm to go to Jules’ house, but Travis takes her up to Jules’ room to comfort her. They start playing Celebrity, but the guys are way better than the girls. Jules sends them to get wine at the Gray’s bar, where they find that the power is on. They decide to stick around, and then even more so when three hot girls find their way to the bar and ask if they can stay through the storm. While they are gone, Ellie and Jules form a plan to cheat in Celebrity by Ellie saying that Jules got it right no matter what she said. Jules and Ellie head to the bar, so the guys have to send the girls home. Grayson tries out a new closing catchphrase that is the worse one yet. Travis and Ellie find themselves alone, and Laurie remarks how romantic the setting is as she lays in his arms. It falls apart when Wade calls her through video messaging and asks Travis to be his ‘body’ so he can dance with her and hug her. When he asks her to grab Laurie’s butt, Travis cannot continue. Laurie asks Travis whether she should continue with Wade or move on, and he gives her the advice to let it play out with him. When Jules gets home and finds a depressed Travis, she tells him that Laurie finally has found someone who cares about her feelings more than their own. Bobby tells Jules that he wanted to do what she wanted with the Laurie situation, but when he saw how much Travis lit up at the mention of Laurie’s name, he wanted him to have whatever he wanted. The storm ends, and Tom is still outside, where he tries to explain why Florida has so many storms. The group does the new thing that they’ve been doing: pretending to be asleep when someone tries to tell them something educational. Ellie finally convinces Grayson to simply tells the crowd to go home at closing time because he wants to snuggle in his blanket, and that they will thank him from preventing them from making a mistake to the person they are talking to. Maliabeth Johnson is the hot chick who talks. 2/25/24

    • When the hurricane damages Grayson’s house, he is forced to move in with Jules, while Bobby, whose boat was damaged, moves into Grayson’s house. When Grayson finds Jules’ pee in the toilet, she tells him that she is doing it for the environment, but trouble starts when he finds plastic materials in her trash can. He then takes issue with the fact that she lied to him after living with her for just one day. Meanwhile, Jules becomes annoyed when people use noises instead of words. Likewise, Grayson hates when Jules changes the meaning of phrases like making ‘cakewalk’ mean a difficult thing, but when she gets Ellie to approve the change, she begins using it. Meanwhile, when Laurie says she had video sex with Wade, she and Ellie get into an argument over who is a sexier lover. Travis helps them resolve the issue by finding a guy named Vincent Hawthorne, someone they had both dated at one point. Jules and Grayson return to their marriage counselor Lynn Mettler and continue to frustrate her when they won’t listen to what she is telling them about bringing old relationship baggage to a new relationship. Jules tells Bobby that he can’t drink wine on the couch because of his poor record of spilling things. They have a contest whereby they both wear white shirts and see who will be the first to get a stain on it. Andy follows Bobby around all day, making sure that he doesn’t have any accidents. When Jules almost flings a meatball into him, Bobby jumps in front of him and takes the meatball for him. Laurie and Ellie call Vincent Hawthorne and jog his memory about the sex each of them had with him. He claims that Ellie was the sexier of the two, causing her to gloat over Laurie. However, when Ellie overhears Andy telling Grayson that he wishes Ellie were still fun and spontaneous in bed like she used to be with Vincent, she starts to feel depressed… and forces Travis to listen to her talk about it. Jules decides to be completely honest with Grayson, but when he starts getting turned off when she starts talking about the bald spot on her head and the hair growing on her knuckles, he tries to nix the honesty. She then takes issue with him coming home for dinner over a half-hour late. Travis winds up giving both Ellie and Laurie advice about how men just need to feel special by having their woman do one special thing for them. Ellie goes and takes Andy away from Bobby so that she can get fully naked for the first time ever during sex, leaving Bobby vulnerable to getting his shirt stained. Bobby tells Jules to not bring the baggage from their relationship to her relationship with Grayson, so she apologizes to Grayson about how she has been acting. When she calls him to come sit with her and drink wine on the couch, he trips and spills wine on her shirt, leaving Bobby the victor of the white shirt contest. Jules and Grayson tell Lynn that they’ve resolved their issue by agreeing not to bring baggage to their relationship, the same advice she had already given them, causing her to lose her temper and break a water pitcher. 2/25/24
